A village in mid-Batroun District, 25 km away from the City. Its altitude is 450 m. one can get to it from Batroun via Edde, Jran, Abdelli and Jrabta.
Its St-Sophia’s parish church dates back to the Crusaders’ Epoch. Its St-Alexius’ church (Mar Risha) is surrounded with old ruins: wells and vestiges of constructions dating back to the Crusaders. There are also ruins of St-Stephan church.
In addition, one can find the convent of “Al-Qatin” Lady (Bzaz Lady= Saydet Al-Bzaz) excavated in rock. The only remains of which being the altar bends, some arched vaults and archers’s rafters.
